Description

Elongate and oval body that is moderately convex. The surface of this isopod is very finely granulated except for lateral patches next to the median line that each have four raised spots. The eyes are relatively big. The antennae have seven parts, two of which belong to the tip.

The uropoda are small and do not extend over the telson.

According to Collinge, they are around 2,5 cm big.

Distribution

They were first found in east South Africa in what is today the province KwaZulu-Natal.
